The Ambler Area Running Club is excited to announce a new raffle to help one lucky member travel to their chosen Destination Race. Here's how it works:
1. During the registration period, buy raffle tickets through the club's web site. Tickets are $20 each and you may purchase up to five.
2. Winner will be chosen at Summer Picnic (9/17/17). You don't need to be present.
3. The winner will be reimbursed for expenses up to $1,500!!
4. You choose the destination and the race.
There’s always fine print:
1. Only current AARC members may enter the raffle. Those who join just before the raffle are welcome to participate.
2. Ticket purchase occurs over two rounds:
a. Round 1: (No money required, open 8/1-31/17). At least 50 tickets must be requested for the raffle. If the minimum is not met, the raffle will be abandoned for the year.
b. Round 2: (Open 9/1-14/17) Members pay for the tickets they requested.
3. The winning member must show their Internet-based race result entry. (Completion time is not important, even a DNF is okay).
4. All expenses must be documented with receipts or online bank account entries. Approved expenses include: race entry, lodging, airfare, rental car, gas and meals.
5. The winning member will write a race recap for publication, or be prepared to speak at an AARC event about the race and travel arrangements.
6. The race must occur between raffle registration date (8/1/17) and the end of the following calendar year (12/31/18). Or the race registration confirmation, and prepaid expenses, must be submitted prior to the 12/31/18 deadline.
7. Two alternates will be chosen in case the top prize can't be utilized.
8. The prize can not be transferred.
